A solo exhibition of 27 works that best exemplifies the details whether they be an introspection within the mind of the photographer or model, or whether they are hidden within a presumed cacophony of surroundings gives the image order either way, they will evoke a powerful introspection in every viewer.
Mr. Salvatore Vasapolli's photographs of the Northern Rockies region of Montana and Wyoming are among the finest expressions of the color landscape being done today. His intuitive sense for the quality of light and color and combined with a strong formatist style to create images of the land range from the intimate to the dramatic."
- Steve Jackson, photography curators of the Museum of the Rockies.
6/23/08- Mr. Vasapolli is proud to annouce that Epson USA is sponsoring the event. Each image is printed using Epson latest technologies of fine art printing creating images more realistic then ever before.
"I shoot exclusively with film with my 4x5 view camera because it captures a wider gamut of colors then what's possible with today's digital camera technology. What digital can not record in color nuance, it substitutes is next best choice. This is OK for most magazine work, but it's not acceptable for fine color art! Epson's 9880 44" wide format printer reproduces those fine nuances in blue and purple as well as the deepests blacks to fine details in shadows like no other printer. This is a whole new ballpark of realism never seen even in traditional color photography or digital reproductions. Even a novice art buyer can see the difference in these prints. Another bonus is that these inks have more archival properties which creates light-fast images lasting hundreds of years longer then my old Epson 9600!"
